Mah aiming low, but maybe not low enough

YOURSAY ‘Unless it can convince BN to change, it is going to be a lost cause.'

I'll quit if GE14 results don't improve, says Mah

Hot Khong: What a low bar Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong is setting - imagine - one parliamentary seat and three state seats. And its goal is just to equal that, otherwise he resigns?

As a manager in a company, if my goal for the following year is just to equal what I did for this year, my boss will sack me. What a lame leader Mah is. Set something more audacious, say, five parliamentary and 10 state seats.

Watchtower: Unless Gerakan is able to convince BN to change, it is going to be a lost cause. Alternatively, join Pakatan - then Gerakan will have a better chance.

Sleepy: What! to quit after GE14? That’s too long, Mah.

Lionking: Very low targets and also very safe. Don't worry, next meeting, set all at zero.

Speaking sense: No loss to anyone whether Mah resigns now or later. But it would save us some money if he were to leave now.

Bahat: No need to wait until after GE14, you should go now. Now! Understand? Don't waste people's time. Gerakan should close as no one would look at Gerakan. Also advise your friends in MCA to close shop. Malaysians do not want all these corrupt parties.

Fair Play: Such brave words. But not to worry. You will booted out anyway in GE14.

Anonymous_1388755032: Might as well resign now since the GE14 results for Gerakan is a foregone conclusion.

Mohican: Words are cheap and easily forgotten when one is desperate for a ministerial post like the MCA cheapskates. For such indecisiveness, the Chinese will teach them another lesson come GE15. Mark these words.

Banzai: Very easy, Mah. Just send your candidates to areas where the majority of the voters are Malays and you will get to improve. Just beg your boss and he will throw you some crumbs to make Gerakan relevant and also to save your skin.

Avatar1: Mah, you can quit now as the GE14 results will show Gerakan totally wiped out. But then you guys have such thick skins that you can call for an EGM and retract your words as how the MCA goons did to secure the ministerial posts. Shameless.

Anonymous #57883242: Mah, you can quit now. And yes, take sleeping pills since you can't sleep after reading this.

Bystander: Mah, you might not need to resign come GE14 after all, because you might lose your very own seat too.

Hplooi: Three more years is enough for the Umnoputeras to strip more assets from this country. In the meantime religious bigots are slowly empowered by creeping changes in administrative procedures.

And you are still deaf and dumb?? Any Gerakan member with a bit of conscience, please bring this up with your president, since he has vowed to avoid the Internet.

Tsie Wei Yuan: Shut up please. You are already irrelevant and ignored now, as an unabashed apologist for your master, Umno.

James TCLow: If this shoe-polisher minister were to quit, it's just good riddance.

Sax5lek: Mah-san, you can be sure and get yourself ready to relinquish your post as president. We will fulfill your promise. Guaranteed.

Dood: You'll quit if Gerakan fares worse in GE14? Wow, what an incentive. I'll make sure to do my very best to help you fulfill your promise.

HOPE234: It’s unbelievable that as president, he is not aware of the political pulse of the Chinese. His party can only win in Malay or Malay-dominated areas where these people are still easily cheated by Umno.

Kangkong: Mah, we have all heard this story from all the BN component part leaders. All talk - when the real situation comes, all your cronies in the party will ask you to stay and this will be what you will say "the party needs me I have a lot more to contribute so I have decided not to resign".

Dyana, Zairil decry alleged 'intimate' photos

Anonymous #57883242: Zairil and Dyana, we voters are not interested in your lifestyle. We are only interested in your ability to serve the rakyat with efficiency and with high integrity.

Which we are confident you can deliver. Umno cyber troopers are purely reflecting their intelligence which is non-existent.

B H Yap : When these gutter people have no ammunition against clean politicians, they resort to such desperate and questionable tactics. Looking at the Malaysian scenario, it's easy to guess who those responsible are.

Hello: Umno is totally scared of the inroads DAP is making into the Malay constituency. So it has to discredit the Malay members of DAP in order to stanch the flow of Malays to DAP.

In my opinion this will be to no avail as the people now have a ready comparison in the governance of Penang by DAP vis a vis the BN government.

Appum: Character assassination of two lovely young politicians - what else is new in our Malaysian politics? So long as the government is selective in its prosecution of wrongdoers, this type of gutter politics will flourish.

So long as the targets of these attacks are not aligned to the ruling regime, the perpetrators will go unpunished.

ConstitutionIsSupreme: Will MCMC, IGP, reveal the culprits and charge them in court? Including those who click LIKE or share the photos? As done on the student who supposedly click LIKE on the Israel page?

Open minded: Desperation knows no bounds. DAP is labeled as a Chinese party by the ruling big brother just to keep Malays away from it for its own political survival.

But some Malays and a growing number want to see change from a monopolistic control that uses the British foregone tactic of 'divide and rule'.

But now Malaysians are opening their eyes to see the truth and reality that we want change. The more you harass the people the more votes you will lose. We are Malaysians, accept it.

Dalvik: Let's not be deviated from the main issue of this country – poverty - and with even more taxes applied on the rakyat. All these 'wayang' are meant to divert the rakyat's attention.

Anonymous #19098644: These pro Umno bloggers are hypocrites who pretend to be Muslims but actually breach all the teachings of Islam by engaging in slander.

These are the very same people who claim they are defending Islam, the race, and the monarchy, but are actually tarnishing Islam, insulting the Malays and misusing the monarchy for their petty political ends.
