The Football Association of Malaysia's website is offline due to hacking.

The hacking follows violence at AFF Suzuki Cup Semi Finals between Malaysia and Vietnam last night.

Several Vietnamese fans were assaulted, prompting an apology from Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

"Our website has been hacked, and therefore has temporarily been taken off-line. We apologise for any inconveniences caused," FAM said on its Facebook page.

It also apologised to Vietnamese fans for yesterday's incident.

"FAM condemns hooliganism in football. Love football, stop hooliganism!" it said.

Vietnamese football fans also flooded several Malaysian news organisations complaining of the incident.

Among others, they complained that Malaysians do not respect women as one of those assaulted is female.
