Nine months after two police reports were lodged against an anti-Christian seminar, it was found that the police have classified the case as “keep in view” (KIV), following instructions from the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC).

The development was informed by the Shah Alam police to lecturer Perzeus James and lawyer Annou Xavier - who had earlier lodged their respective reports at the Shah Alam district police headquarters.

Annou said a police officer told them that the AGC has instructed the Shah Alam police to hold the matter under "KIV".

“We are disappointed that after nine months of investigations, no action has been taken against the organisers of this seminar - that had topics such as “Ancaman Kristianisasi” and “Kristianisasi vs Islamisasi” - which in essence disrupts the harmony, goodwill and peace of Malaysians.

“On top of that, the seminar was organised by Universiti Teknologi Mara with support from the Selangor Islamic Council with the intention to villify the minority religion,” said Annou ( left ).

This shows once again that the rights of the minority religion is being trampled upon and villified by the authorities, he stressed.

It was previously reported that the controversial seminar - which was held on May 6 - had questioned the Christians' persistence on using the word 'Allah', when the Pope has refused to do it.

During the seminar, NGO Pertubuhan Muafakat Sejahtera Masyarakat Malaysia's secretary-general Abd Karim Omar said their Malay brethren may pray like Muslims, but cautioned the audience that they could actually be Christians posing as Muslims.

Their statements had been recorded within that same month, with the police having taken about an hour to record Uthaya's statement, and one and a half hours to record Perzeus'.

“We brought along various articles about the seminar and books regarding the event,” said Uthaya when his statement was recorded last year.
