The opinion of Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim does not reflect the stand of all the royal households, said Umno supreme council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman today.

He was responding to Tunku Ismail's lashing of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak following the botched 'Nothing to Hide' dialogue session last week.

Tajuddin said since no survey has been conducted involving the royalty, it cannot be concluded that all of them agreed with Tunku Ismail.

"Just because one crown prince (says so), doesn't mean that the whole royalty are unhappy with Najib.

"Never mind that he is the future sultan of Johor, he is also an individual who spoke his mind," he told Malaysiakini .

Tajuddin, who is also agriculture and agro-based industry deputy minister, said other royal households supported the prime minister.

"I am sure the Pahang royalty is strongly behind Najib whereas the Perak royalty is impressed with Najib.

"People say all sort of things and it is difficult to ascertain who speaks the voice of the majority," he added.

Najib is 'hardworking'

When Najib failed to turn up for the dialogue, Tunku Ismail had posted scathing comments on Facebook, which went viral.

"How can you have a dialogue called 'Nothing2Hide' featuring a person who has everything to hide? Obviously he won't show up," read the prince's bilingual post.

The comments were posted on the Johor football team's Facebook page. The prince is the president of the Johor Football Association.

In April, Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah endorsed Najib's leadership in the wake of attacks by former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

"Najib is a very hardworking leader and I am proud of him.

"Let us together pray that his leadership prevails and all must back him. Don't callously criticise things which we ourselves don't know about," the sultan had said of the prime minister, who hails from Pahang.
