Cabinet leaks on Hudud Bill

International Trade and Industry Minister II Ong Ka Chuan revealed that Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi raised PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's Private Member's Bill in the cabinet meeting before it was tabled. Ong also stated that the ‘hypothetical question’ was not well received.

Rural and Regional Development Minister Ismail Sabri Yaacob took a swipe at Ong for the revelation and warned that revealing matters discussed during cabinet meetings could lead to potential chaos for the government.

Pas Youth sheds robes for ‘Malay panglima’ look

PAS Youth adopted a new look when its top leaders traded in their obligatory white robes at yesterday's muktamar in Kota Baru for the traditional songket Malay wear, reminiscent of the ‘panglima’ (warrior) look, complete with the keris.

During the muktamar, the wing’s chief, Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz, dismissed claims that the Islamic party wants to merge with its traditional political rival Umno, describing such speculation as baseless and slanderous.
 

The Islamic party's Youth movement also pushed PAS to contest in DAP and PKR seats it claimed were 'lent' along with the party's grassroots and machinery to its former Pakatan Rakyat allies, only to be neglected afterwards.
