The Election Commission has put out calls for price quotations for general election supplies.

This comes after Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong said his party expects the next general election, the 14th, to be called in nine months' time.

The EC posted a call for price quotation for vests, caps and T-shirts "for use during the 14th election".

The notice was published in the government procurement website e-perolehan.com.my on Oct 4.

Last month, DAP's Sri Tanjong assemblyperson Chan Foong Hin set tongues wagging when he uploaded a picture of EC's call for price quotations for the supply of pocket files.

The notice put up on Sept 26 states that the pocket files are for use during the 14th general election.

"Election coming soon?" Chan asked on Facebook.

The EC has also displayed its proposal for redelineation with public objection period expiring this Saturday.

Opposition parties claim the proposal paves the way for GE14 victory for Umno and the BN.
