Parti Warisan Sabah president Shafie Apdal today defended his right as a parliamentarian to raise issues surrounding state-investor 1MDB during debates in the Dewan Rakyat.

"Questioning parliamentarians for what is said in Parliament should not happen.

"It (Dewan Rakyat) is a place for free speech and debates to uphold the Federal Constitution and rule of law," the Semporna MP told reporters outside Bukit Aman police headquarters this morning.
