MCA: So it's 'Malaysian Malaysia' no more?

DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang appears to have dropped his once held belief that a non-Malay can one day become prime minister of Malaysia, said MCA.

In a statement today, MCA publicity chief Chai Kim Sen said Kit Siang had said this during an interview with Nanyang Siang Pau that was published on Nov 6, 2008.

Chai, in paraphrasing the DAP supremo, said the latter believed all Malaysians have a right to dream of becoming prime minister of Malaysia, regardless of their ethnicity, following Barrack Obama's inauguration as the first black US president.

Anyone can be prime minister of Malaysia, according to Kit Siang, if Umno-dominated BN was replaced with a truly multi-racial coalition, and that non-Malays must not underestimate themselves or forgo their rights.
