Bank Negara to cooperate with forex task force, but...

Bank Negara has pledged to extend its full cooperation to the special task force to investigate the forex losses, which it pointed out in a media statement, "happened more than 25 years ago".

The setting up of the task force was announced by the Prime Minister's Office yesterday after the cabinet gave its approval, but the opposition claims it is politically motivated in view of the ongoing feud between Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
