The Chinese daily Nanyang Siang Pau has issued an apology, following an uproar over a cartoon depicting PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia as monkeys.
"Our newspaper on April 8 published a comic on Act 355 that is disrespectful to Pandikar and Hadi. Nanyang sincerely apologises to both of them.
"Nanyang website has since retracted the comic," a statement posted on their website read.
The apology came after PAS Youth threatened a series of protests against Nanyang tomorrow.
