PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on his allegation that former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa received SRC International Sdn Bhd funds.

"My main focus is to show and bring back the issue of SRC and 1MDB because MACC has already completed its investigations.

"I want the MACC to investigate (the money trail) not just to Nasharudin, but also to whoever else after that and for what purpose, as well as any other recipients (of the money)," he told reporters at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya today.

Rafizi yesterday made a statutory declaration that Nasharudin (photo) was the person who received funds from the former 1MDB subsidiary.

Malaysiakini has repeatedly attempted to contact Nasharudin for comment on this allegation but has yet to receive any response.

Rafizi had first claimed, at a press conference in Parliament on April 6, to have evidence about someone close to the PAS leadership receiving 1MDB-linked funds and he challenged PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to respond.

This came after an uproar among Pakatan Harapan MPs over Dewan Rakyat Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia's decision to postpone the debate on Hadi's motion to enhance the sentencing power of syariah courts to the next sitting of Parliament in July.

Rafizi later told Malaysiakini that the person was a former top PAS leader, who served as a bridge between Umno and the Islamist party.

Hadi, on the other hand, dismissed the allegation as a “300 percent lie” and advised Rafizi to seek forgiveness from Allah.

In a response to Rafizi's SD naming Nasharudin as the recipient of the funds, PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said the funds have nothing to do with the Islamist party.

Nasharudin is just a regular member with no influence on party leadership now, Takiyuddin said, adding that the party was also in the dark about Nasharudin receiving SRC funds.

Takiyuddin also said PAS had also never received financial contributions from or through Nasharudin since he was defeated in the 2011 party elections, except for his fixed contributions as Bachok MP, which ended in 2013.
