Bersatu lieutenants remain diplomatic with PAS, despite Dr M's broadside

Leaders in Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) are maintaining a diplomatic stance on their relationship with PAS, despite party chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad's broadside against the Islamist party.

Downplaying the severity of Mahathir's stinging remarks, Bersatu information chief Kamaruddin Md Noor said the party was still open to working with PAS.

"We are open (to working with PAS). Criticising and being criticised is a normal part of politics. What is important is how our decisions can propels us towards our goal to benefit the people and the party.
