  • Since its inception in 2000, Suhakam has often been criticised as a 'toothless tiger' because of the perception that it is often ignored by the government.

    Suhakam chairperson Abu Talib Othman however said his 18 commissioners and other staff are undeterred by such criticisms and would continue to discharge their duties accordingly.
