After playing a game of hide and seek for several days, Perak DAP's Jelapang assemblyperson Hee Yit Foong today confirmed that she has resigned from the party.

The latest development plunged the Pakatan Rakyat state government, which is on the verge of collapse, deeper into crisis.

hee yit foong By virtue of her decision, Hee will lose her position as the state legislative assembly deputy speaker. Hee, who suffers from polio, was the first woman and disabled person to be appointed to that post.

Hee was at Putrajaya with two other former Pakatan Perak reps Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (PKR-Behrang) and Osman Jailu (PKR- Changkat Jering) for a press conference held by Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak this afternoon.

Hee, who looked solemn, did not speak to reporters when the four appeared at Najib's press conference.

While others displayed broad grins, Hee did not smile throughout the event.

Felt 'heart broken'

Speculation that Hee would switch camps intensified yesterday when she skipped an important state function.

Previously, Hee had told reporters that DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng's indirect threat to remove her as a state representative was " heart breaking ".
