Tropicana Foundation (“Foundation”), the community-conscious arm of Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or “Group”), continues to strengthen its commitment to community upliftment through its Raya programme–Muhibbah in Motion. This initiative falls under the broader, year-long Festive Care initiative—bringing together partners, volunteers, and the wider community in a shared celebration of giving, dignity, and togetherness. Held on 19 April 2026, the Nostalgia Rewang Raya brought together 120 underprivileged children, along with their caretakers, partners, volunteers and guests, for a kampung-inspired celebration marking the close of the Raya season in the spirit of muhibbah. Set within Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (“TGCR”), the event unfolded as a communal gathering at an open house, where guests moved leisurely and naturally between dining and entertainment, much like a traditional Raya gathering. In line with the programme’s objectives, proceeds from the Pre-Loved Market were distributed as duit raya to the children, extending the same spirit of giving into a shared festive moment.
“We are honoured to host a gathering that brings people together in such a meaningful way, especially in celebrating the spirit of Raya with the community,” said Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Muhammad Fuzi Bin Harun, Chairman of Tropicana Corporation Berhad and Tropicana Golf & Country Resort.

“Designed as a structured festive outreach, Muhibbah in Motion moves beyond conventional donation drives by fostering communal participation and meaningful engagement. The programme integrates multiple touchpoints, including a Pre-Loved Market fundraiser and the Nostalgia Rewang Raya open house, to create a cohesive and inclusive experience for beneficiaries and participants alike. What we’ve seen here is a simple but powerful idea where funds and impact can be generated not by producing more, but by redistributing what already exists within the community. It has been very meaningful to see, not just what is given, but how it continues to give,” said Serena Lim, Programme Director of Tropicana Foundation.

At the heart of the experience was the Raya buffet, made possible with the support of F&N, whose contributions brought a sense of familiarity and festive warmth to the shared meals. The event was also graced by the presence of Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Syarif Bendahara Perlis Syed Badarudin Jamalullail, Chairman of Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd. Dato’ Raffiq Bin Md Ariff, Managing Director of Fraser & Neave Holdings Berhad, who was present at the gathering, said, “Food has always been at the centre of festive celebrations, and we are pleased to contribute to an experience that brings comfort, joy, and togetherness to everyone present.”

Around this, traditional games encouraged children and adults alike to engage, play, and connect across generations, while live performances added energy to the afternoon. The overall atmosphere, nostalgic and lively, was brought to life through the thoughtful design and styling by Ignatius Asia, shaping a space that felt both immersive and welcoming.
“At Ignatius Asia, we believe in creating experiences that matter. Through Nostalgia Rewang Raya, we hope to bring joy, warmth, and a sense of home to every child here, while demonstrating how purposeful collaborations can create meaningful and lasting impact,” said Nicholas Chen, Managing Director of Ignatius Asia.
Uplifting community through structured programmes
Muhibbah in Motion reflects Tropicana Foundation’s ongoing shift towards structured, repeatable programmes that deliver measurable outcomes. Building on this community-led success, Tropicana Foundation aims to continue expanding all its programmes throughout 2026, designing them on the basis of strengthening community ties while delivering meaningful social impact.
A community-led market with purpose
The Pre-Loved Market was conceived as more than a fundraiser; it was designed to advance the Foundation’s commitment to sustainable community engagement by promoting the principles of a circular economy. By encouraging the reuse and redistribution of pre-loved items, the initiative showed that meaningful funds can be raised simply by unlocking the existing value within the community. Through the generous contributions of Tropicana staff and community partners, items were reintroduced into a shared marketplace, where they could be selected and appreciated anew. In doing so, the Pre-Loved Market not only reduced potential waste but also transformed unused, everyday items into a renewed source of impact.

The Pre-Loved Market successfully collected and redistributed 774 items, which amounted to more than 190kg of waste being diverted from landfill. Proceeds raised from the Market were carried forward into the Nostalgia Rewang Raya open house, ensuring that the cycle of giving continued into a shared festive experience.
