Calling people names in the press is not the norm

I am enticed by the views expressed in the article ‘Saminathan and friends did nothing to improve the situation’ by YB Lau Weng San, Oct 20, 2015. Indeed what did YB Tony Pua do? What did you YB Lau Weng San do? Calling people names in the press as “gangsters and thugs” is not the norm, although perhaps it is in Parliament and the state assembly.

When did MBPJ inform the folk on bazaar relocation?

The Petaling Jaya City Council’s (MBPJ) clarification on Oct 18, 2015 on the Sungai Way Deepavali bazaar relocation only show the local council’s internal discussion and minutes. All these are under the Official Secrets Act. The traders and residents have to file an application under the Freedom of Information Enactment to the local council for a copy.

Kidex still in RTPJ2? What went wrong?

The Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex Skyway) has been cancelled. Matter closed. Menteri besar cancels Kidex. Kidex will not be in the Petaling Jaya Structural Plans (RTPJ 2) or Selangor State Structural Plan 2035. Umno’s draft enactment to introduce Kidex for approval in the Selangor state assembly was defeated, selangor sultan urges public transportation. Victory for all the people of Selangor, particularly Petaling Jaya city residents.

February 2015 - ang pows, V-Day and doomsday

The federal Works Ministry has granted an extension till February to Kidex Sdn Bhd. The Selangor government has requested the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex Skyway) concessionaire to fulfill three conditions to be fulfilled by February. Petaling Jaya City Council’s consultants have been asked to submit a traffic impact assessment impact (TIA) study on the proposed Kidex in February.

Stop juggling the Kidex ball and take a shot

According to Works Minister Fadillah Yusof, his ministry has yet to study the reason that the developer of the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) is seeking an extension and will have to consult the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) first before making any decision on the matter.
