Having worked with and for the Malaysian government for 32 years without any public complain that I have heard of from him, I just cannot make out our Malaysian diplomat, N Parameswaran's, reasons for his resignation.

Well, maybe there has been insubordination, or just plain side-stepping the chain of command by even subordinate staff ... but I would have imagined that having worked for the Malaysian government as a non-Malay, that that would have been the order of the day for all of that 32 years that he was working there. If not him, at least he must have known of thousands who would have fallen victim to similar experiences that he complains about now.

Is it so different now, only because those subjecting him to this feeling of victimisation are white?
