I believe this (PTPTN's Raya newspaper ads) was such an utter and total waste of money, money that should be used to maybe to give out more loans to citizens however little the newspaper advertisements cost regardless.

A simple notice on their website should have been sufficient. The worst part is that there are no such festive wishes on their website the last time I checked.

This is a blatant and clear misuse of the responsibility entrusted to them and a bad choice of funds allocation - especially when you are charging loan holders so-called administration fees.

Before any of the many do-good one-man organisations with fancy names makes a police report against me, I am in no way complaining about wishing anyone a Selamat Hari Raya.

This is a complaint against spending thousands taking out a full page advert in the papers. Money that can be better spent in the case of PTPTN and many other such agencies.

Incidentally, if one is to just browse the papers, many such adverts are by government-owned companies or government-linked companies.. All this are our taxpayers money so there is no need to waste on advert like this.

Why do they see the need to take out advert such as this for any matter apart from public announcement matters, surely a mass email to all PTPTN loan holders should suffice.

An IT guy outsourced to many of the IT companies could do this for less then RM500

Absolutely diabolical.
