Doing unto Azalina what was done to Anwar?
I refer to RPs letter Not right to blackout news . I whole-heartedly agree with what he has to say. The duality in the conduct of the mainstream media, with the Malay Mail rushing out a special second edition on that day, indeed marks the demise of whatever credibility is left in all the mainstream media.
Not that I condone what is happening now to Azalina Othman. Indeed as with what happened to former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim, my sympathies lie with Azalina and I do wish her well.
I would, however, remind her to consider the dangers that she might face in case she decides to report the trash that is being reported about her to the police. Anwar reported to the police under similar circumstances and today he is serving a sentence for corruption. Whoever it is who advises her to report to police might just be the chief conspirator in attempting to get rid of her.
Maybe, the best advice I can give Azalina now would be for her to go through the chronology of events that finally saw Anwar to his destiny. It would seem that the same modus operandi is now in use in getting rid of her.
What is more strange is that, it would seem like the writer, would seem to have more to lose writing on this matter than to gain from it. That being sufficient to find one guilty and sentenced to jail, I wonder what is taking the Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad so long to act on Azalina! Not that I wish for such action to befall on her. It is just the inconsistency! Its rather bizarre!
