I agree entirely with Badang's views in his letter Umno Youth, where art thou? and would like to add to his contention that the party wing's silence is indeed deafening.

Why is it cowering in silence in the face of such ferocious attacks by Indonesians on our national dignity and flag when it has not shown any such reticence in the past when the slightest bit of discordant noises were made against us in another, even closer neighbouring country — Singapore?

One wonders why this is so? Has race and religion something to do with it?
