A thought on Ezam's case

It is good news that the appeal court judge allowed Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) Youth chief Mohd Ezam Mohd Nor appeal on his conviction and sentence.
He was both acquitted and discharged - meaning I think, that the persecution and conviction was wrong.
It is such a shame that this judgment was handed down barely a month after the 11th general election.
I wonder if a certificate of urgency was filed for the appeal to be heard and disposed of before the general election.
I think I am not the only one having this thought.
