Your article Rev Lim: Excluding carols with Jesus' name is scandalous made me realise that there is no religious freedom in this country. The government doesn't seem to respect other religions.

Jesus is the name of the Christian lord; why can't Christians sing it out in carols? Why would it offend the King or the prime minister or the other guests? I truly don't understand.

As a Malaysian, I ask why should we tolerate all these insidious controls on our religions? It is unfair. Why can't we truly accept each other's religion and accept the need for them?

How are we going to live together if we don't accept each other's way of life? Non-acceptance of another's way of life and putting obstacles leads to turmoil. Do we want that?

Shouldn't we try to learn the way of life of the minor religions in this country and respect those needs?
