Jesus censorship disturbing
I refer to your report on the exclusion of Christmas carols containing references to Jesus Christ during the upcoming national-level Christmas Day celebrations.
I am Muslim who finds the censorship of an important religious icon to Christians - during the celebration of the birth of Christ - very disturbing. It is ridiculous that Muslims want to do this at the cost of causing much grief to many Christians.
Our Christian friends should be able to celebrate Christmas as Christmas has always been celebrated here and elsewhere.
This new censorship may not stop here. Would Christians be prevented from displaying in public any symbol of their faith in due course like stickers or even wearing of the cross in whatever shape, size, style?
And why? Because some myopic Muslims, especially those in power in certain political parties, think that this may amount to proselytisation of Christianity among Muslims?
