I have been made aware of a press conference held by an expelled member of MIC, R Ramanan, and a former member who lost his membership pursuant to the constitution, AK Ramalingam.

Prior to the press conference, Ramanan had launched flares of clues, in the name of opening ‘Pandora’s Box’ against the MIC president, Dr S Subramaniam.

Sad but true, the ‘revelation’ was run-off-the-mill. There was nothing special about it, neither did it have any substance to it. It is Ramanan’s nature to propagate something and leave everyone with high expectations. The end result, is of course, sheer disappointment.

As to the party matters, and our president, Dr Subramaniam, please take note that Ramanan was nothing more than a volunteer in the time of crisis. It was Ramanan who switched alliances, and offered to help the party.

The party went through a reformation, in due course with the law. The legitimacy and irregularities which Ramanan questions now, were proven even in the highest court of law, The Federal Court of Malaysia. There were even press conferences held by Ramanan himself to this extent.

It now begs us the answer to a wholly different question. In what right mind would we, or anyone else take into account whatever Ramanan claims, as his credibility is very much in doubt.

The only advice I would have for him is that, he has 14 days from the date of expulsion to appeal his termination of membership from the party.
