Your report Don't axe top academics Terence Gomez, Mohd Zohadie goes to show that the administration of our local universities totally lack appreciation for top quality academicians who have worldwide recognition.

The administration in these universities are not interested in improving the quality of education but are only interested in keeping mediocrity at its highest level.

There is a sense of insecurity in the administrators themselves that needs to be seriously addressed a sense of self-censorship that's detrimental to the growth of our esteemed halls of learning.

The Ministry of Higher Education has to grapple with this issue first before we lose more of our talented academicians to universities outside our country.
