I am of the opinion that more people should be concerned now with the announcements of the electricity tariff hike. Personally, as someone who has to make a ringgit stretch a long way, the tariff hike and rising cost of everything is causing me sleepless nights.

As was pointed out by others, things are not getting better for the lower-income group and the poor in this country.

Personally, I am also irritated with ministers who make dumb remarks and expect the people to buy everything they say. Everyone is going to be affected by the tariff hikes - and don't you (the government) dare tell us otherwise. And before anyone tells me to be prudent and spend less, think again.

And to those so concerned about MIC elections and the 'Da Vinci Code', my only response to that is this - I'll worry about those things when I don't have to worry about paying my bills and eating a decent meal.
