I think for once and for all Mr John R Malott should keep his mouth shut ('Bravo, Marie!', Aug 2). We're really sick and tired of his opinions. Leave us alone and let us develop our country, our way.

If the Americans have little knowledge of themselves, their history or their country, what hope is there that they will ever understand our history and our way of life?

I think Malott's friendship with former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim has superseded the reality and truth behind all his comments.
