PKR’s elections committee has received objections from 64 divisions over dissatisfaction with their respective annual general meeting elections.

They make up a third of the 195 divisions that had held elections.

NONE The objections include those from five divisions - Hulu Selangor, Kota Raja, Kuala Langat, Pandan and Kelana Jaya.

When receiving the memorandums of protest today, PKR elections administrator Raden Shamsulkamar Raden Shamsudin said he will forward them to elections committee chairperson Dr Molly Cheah.

“I will inform Dr Molly that members want a decision regarding the objections as soon as possible," he said when receiving the memorandums from about 40 members of the Kota Raja, Kuala Langat, Pandan and Kelana Jaya divisions.

Raden also said the committee was currently investigating the Subang, Hulu Selangor, Kapar, Petaling Jaya, Klang, Petaling Jaya Selatan and Kuala Langat AGMs.

When met, Kuala Langat PKR chief Norazmi Tahir said among the objections of his division was with regard to errors contained in the ballots for the division and national leadership elections.

Some of the ballots had on them the position of division vice-chairperson in place of PKR Youth vice-chairperson, he claimed.
