Perkasa has renewed calls for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and the Home Ministry to charge rapper Namewee in court.

NONE Perkasa Youth chief Arman Azha Abu Hanifah said it should be the courts and not de-facto Law Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz ( left ) or the attorney-general who should determine whether there is a case.

"It should be the courts who decide, not Nazri. Let Namewee be charged first and let the court determine whether he is innocent or not.

"However, in Perkasa's eyes, Namewee is not fit to be a citizen of Malaysia," he said.

Perkasa has been attacking Namewee since the launch of the rapper's album in September.

They had wanted Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, to apologise to Malaysians for "disrupting racial harmony".

The authorities had NONE threaten to charge Namewee with sedition, but to date no action has been taken.

Meanwhile on the issue of racist teachers, Arman Azha ( right ) has asked the Education Ministry to get to the bottom of such investigations and not to believe only one side of the story.

"The government should investigate the matter first rather than take action," he said in response to an urgent parliamentary motion to censure yet another racist teacher.

MP Er Teck Hwa today filed an emergency motion on a fresh case of racism this time by an invigilator in Negri Sembilan who had allegedly made racist statements to students attending a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination.
