He also denied that such claims shows that the BN government is fearful of the impact of the anti-Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud Internet radio station on the Sarawak election.

Earlier this week, its deejay Peter John Jaban, who is based in and broadcasting from London, claimed that his family members in Kuching have been threatened by the local council.

Jaban claimed that the Kuching Council had threatened put a licence blacklist on the  landlord of a business premise rented by his family.

His son also said that a landlord from a timber company linked to Taib is cancelling the tenancy of a lodging house run by the family.

The 'harassment', Jaban said, began when London’s Evening Standard revealed the names of those behind the clandestine radio station.

On a separate matter, Muhyiddin said that the government is closely monitoring the opposition and other parties who are seen to be inciting Malaysians into revolting against the government ala Middle East.

"(The government) has warned them of the danger of provoking the rakyat into acting like what they did in the Middle East.

"I hope no one will be influenced by (the opposition) as their intention to create chaos is irresponsible and it shows that they do not value the safety, political stability and peace in the country.

"They are willing to bring about disorder for the sake of political advancement," he said.
