Ads firms cry foul over MPPJ clubs fees

The recent controversy over the MPPJ's transfer of its billboard licensing rights to its sports club has been discovered to involve more than the RM10,000 mandatory 'contribution' fee per billboard that has been slapped on advertising companies.

A senior staff at an outdoor advertising company has said today that the ad companies are still to foot some RM3,000 in licensing fees which were applicable before the transfer of rights.
