A Malaysian court has charged four teenagers for the murder of the Australian stepfather of two of the youngsters, a report said Sunday.

The four include two sisters, whose 59-year-old Australian stepfather was killed in his home on November 12, the Sunday Mail newspaper said.

The teenagers - Low Kian Boon, 18, a 17-year-old boy and the sisters, aged 14 and 16 - face the death penalty if found guilty.

On the day of the incident, the man's wife - the mother of the sisters - was attacked by intruders in her house, the report said.

Her husband came to her rescue, but was attacked and killed by a person wielding a machete.
