The internal tussle within Selangor PKR continued to escalate, with Selangor menteri besar’s political secretary Faekah Husin slamming Selangor PKR information chief Shuhaimi Shafiei for going against party directives and openly criticising other party members in media statements.

“What is his agenda, and many want to know what is he up to? The party is also keeping mum on this but he is openly defying party directives.

“Even the MB has to answer to the party but Shuhaimi is immune?” said Faekah according to a report by the New Straits Times today.

Shuhaimi, who is also Sri Muda assemblyperson, had urged Selangor MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to take action on Faekah for issuing a support letter.

He claimed action was necessary as swift action had previously been taken in cases where family members of state officials were involved in state-linked transactions.

Faekah has admitted she sent out a few letters for law firms seeking appointment to act as legal firms for Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB), including a law firm run by her niece.

But she denied that these were support letters and Khalid has also defended her, saying the letter was a normal matter and not against ethics.

Faekah reminded Shuhaimi that he had also previously given a support letter to a company in which he was a director, even though he was cleared by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) later.

“He can argue that he was cleared by the MACC but please remember that the MACC had also said that I did nothing wrong if I did not sit on the board.”

She said the letter was only forwarded to ask for consideration, and she did not even sit on the board of PNSB or PKNS (Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor).
