MCA has broken its decades-old tradition of having white uniforms in favour of navy blue T-shirts – BN's colours – for its delegates attending the party's 59th annual general assembly (AGM).
The new T-shirts bear the 1Malaysia logo and the words “Choose BN” on the front.
On the back of the T-shirts are various messages meant to counter its arch nemesis DAP's campaign slogan “ Ubah (Change)”.
"This is very good, it can counter Pakatan Rakyat propaganda, especially DAP's Ubah because negative propaganda like the opposition's often has a stronger impact than positive ones," remarked a delegate.
Some T-shirts had the phrase “Say NO to PAS Hudud” and “Ubah? Bankrupt in 2 years” written on the back.
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, the guest of honour at the event, also showed up in a blue T-shirt.
The party also sought display their battle-readiness to Najib who will officially open the AGM this morning.
The premier, who has described the next polls as a "life and death" battle for BN, was welcomed with chants of "Ah Jib Kor (Brother Najib) boleh" and "I love PM" banners as he entered the MCA headquarters.
