Sungai Tengi Felda manager Alias Hussein has refused to comment on a video showing him participating in a meeting to block PAS-linked settler rights NGO Anak from entering the settlement last week.

He explained that the meeting was actually a Settlers Development and Security Committee (JKKR) meeting.

"This was only a JKKR meeting. I needed to seek the Felda headquarters approval first (to comment further).

"Can you come to my Sungai Tengi office if you need more information on this," Alias told Malaysiakini when contacted.

NONE Yesterday, Anak chief Mazlan Aliman ( right ) claimed there was a "conspiracy" between Alias and hired thugs to disrupt an Anak event at the Sungai Tengi settlement in Selangor last week.

Mazlan claimed that the meeting was also attended by Malay rights group Perkasa, Umno, Felda youth and the Felda information department.

He also claimed that the meeting was directed to disrupt the Anak programme at Felda Sungai Tengi on Feb 4 by blocking his entourage's entry to the settlement.

The disruption or chaos, as claimed by Mazlan, was through creating noise while the police  just looked on .

It was reported that during the ceramah, Mazlan and his group had to run a gauntlet of roadblocks before reaching the scene and when he was on stage the opposing group created a lot of noise and threw missiles and water bottles, disrupting the event.
