Ummi Hafilda Ali, the star witness in former deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim's Sodomy I trial, has joined Umno's campaign trail to ensure that the latter does not become the seventh prime minister of Malaysia.

NONE Pakatan Rakyat has been touting Anwar as the next prime minister as they have set their sights on seizing Putrajaya in the upcoming general election fixed for May 5.

At a political talk in Balik Pulau last night, Ummi launched into a 2.5-hour ‘Anwar-bashing' session in front of a crowd of 200, attended mostly by Umno members.

Teluk Bahang assemblyperson Dr Hilmi Yahya opened the talk wherein Ummi said that her cause was to expose Anwar as a Jewish agent, a sodomite, a trickster, and that he was a traitor to the country, thus his citizenship should be stripped as well.

Before ending her ceramah at 12.30am, Ummi vowed to end the political career of Anwar while casting aspersions on his wife, PKR chief Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, claiming that the latter had known about her husband's wayward ways, yet chose to remain silent.

NONE Ummi ( left ) added that she was determined to finish off her brother - PKR deputy president and Gombak state seat incumbent Azmin Ali - saying she was willing to contest against him on any seat, if fielded by the BN leadership.

"Who am I to ask where I would contest? So I will leave it to the party leadership to decide," she later said at a press conference.

Accompanying her were her husband, Zaman Khan , Balik Pulau BN coordinator Siti Faridah Arshad and former state PKR Wanita chief Aminah Abdullah, who has since joined Umno after falling out with party leaders in 2009.

"If Najib feels that I deserve to be there (to contest against Azmin), then Alhamdulillah , I will bear the responsibility," she added.

"To defeat Azmin, I just have to snap my fingers, because his family members know all about his weaknesses.

Confident of Azmin's defeat

"I am confident, if the entire machinery and my family is with me and join me in my ceramahs, I feel Azmin will be defeated massively ( tumbang begitu dahsyat )," she stressed.

However, if she is not chosen as a candidate, she noted that she will continue her struggle against Anwar and Azmin ( below ).

She also promised not to sabotage Umno if she failed to be fielded in the general election, adding that her 15-year struggle had been "sincere".

"Regardless of post or position, I will continue to fight the evils ( kemungkaran ) of Anwar and Azmin," she vowed.

NONE Ummi, a businesswoman, is currently on a road show where she will speak in Kepala Batas tonight, saying there was a demand for her to speak in ceramahs in Permatang Pauh where Anwar is defending his MP seat.

When asked if her tactics had been effective, Ummi quipped that "these are not tactics, but a struggle ( perjuangan )".

She boasted about her popularity, claiming that thousands attended her ceramahs without any disruption by pro-Pakatan supporters.

"There is a new wave for those seeking the truth. A minimum of 300 would attend my ceramahs, if not thousands," she said.

"No one comes to disturb, unlike a ceramah in Guar Perahu last month featuring former PKR leader Zulkifli Noordin where people threw eggs at him and called him names," she added.

To further her cause, Ummi said she has formed a new NGO - Srikandi 7 - with its principal focus on fighting Anwar as the main traitor of the country.

She added that the NGO would continue to fight for Malay special rights, which is entrenched in the federal constitution, seeking to achieve 30 percent of the community's participation in the economic sector.

NONE When queried on the number "7" in the NGO's name, Ummi said that it was a symbolic figure for Muslims.

"There are seven levels of heaven and hell, and seven colours of the rainbows; seven is also an auspicious day for me where good things happen," she said.

Asked for comment on how many members she has recruited so far, Ummi said usually hundreds would sign up for it at her ceramahs.

"This is really amazing as I am not a politician and do not hold any posts, but still many (would) want to support my cause".
