The nomination day rallies are normally  colourful affairs, filled with flags, slogans and gimmicks.

This time around, it seems that some BN supporters in Kuatan have turned things up a notch by flying a white pair of male briefs amidst their party flags.

The awkward scene happened at about 10.20am at Dewan Wisma Sri Pahang where the nomination process was taking place, and some BN supporters were seen leaving the scene.

This led to taunts by Pakatan Rakyat supporters who waved RM50 notes at them, implying that they were a "rent-a-crowd" incapable of withstanding the morning heat.

"Are you leaving because you didn't receive enough money?" asked one Pakatan supporter.

This led to some BN supporters hanging three male briefs on bamboo poles, as a dig against PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali.

Of late, a video of a man looking like Mustafa in a tryst with a young woman had been circulating online.

One BN supporter was even allegedly seen donning a piece of underwear on his head.

What followed was a rowdy verbal jousting match between the two sides that lasted about 15 minutes until the police restored order.

The man who put the underwear on his head later complied with police orders to remove the article.

However, the underwear hanging from the poles were left untouched.

Kuantan will see a straight fight between incumbent Fuziah Salleh from PKR and Mohamed Suffian Awang from BN.
