Police will mount a large-scale 'Ops  Cantas Khas' in Sabah soon to weed out secret society gangs and individuals involved in serious crime.     

Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar who said this today, however, declined to reveal the dates and locations of the anti-crime operation.     

"We don't want to divulge information that can affect our operation," he told reporters after opening the International Security Technology Conference 2013, KL.     

In Ops Cantas Khas which started on Aug 17, 4,806 people out of 122,255 checked had been arrested up to Sept 6.     

The two-day conference, which ends tomorrow, is held in conjunction with the International Fire and Security Exhibition and Conference Southeast Asia.
