PKR's official response to the Selangor palace over the menteri besar crisis which was supposed to be submitted yesterday has been delayed.
Party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution said the matter had yet to be properly discussed as de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim is overseas.
"We are waiting for clearance, Anwar is overseas," he told Malaysiakini when contacted.
Saifuddin said PKR does not have any particular time target to submit its response but will discuss the matter next week.
"Monday, we will have discussions when Anwar returns," he said.
On Thursday, Saifuddin said PKR planned to respond to the Selangor palace's demand for more than two names as candidates for menteri besar.
This came after the party submitted its president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as its sole candidate to replace Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim who has lost majority support in the state assembly.
