'Check finances of Perak BN reps' wives club'
Perak PAS Youth has urged the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to investigate the financial resources of the Welfare Organisation for Perak's Barisan Nasional Elected Representatives’ Wives (Baiduri).
Perak PAS Youth has urged the Registrar of Societies (ROS) to investigate the financial resources of the Welfare Organisation for Perak's Barisan Nasional Elected Representatives’ Wives (Baiduri).
Perak PAS Youth chief Raja Ahmad Iskandar Yaacob said ROS should probe if Baiduri is getting funds from the state coffers even though this is not allowed.
“How many government agencies have channeled funds to Baiduri?” he asked.
Raja Ahmad ( right ) pointed out that Perak PAS Youth had raised the matter after the 2008 general elections when it was revealed that Baiduri had transferred all its assets and finances to other accounts.
Perak PAS Youth then lodged a report against Baiduri with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Raja Ahmad claimed that Baiduri found ways to prevent its funds from falling into the hands of the then recently-elected Pakatan Rakyat state government.
“How were they allowed to do so? We will continue urging the ROS to monitor Baiduri to ensure that their finances are audited thoroughly,” said Raja Ahmad.
