Vote out Najib? Ex-DPM to toe party line
Deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin will decide whether or not to support a vote of no confidence against his former boss, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, in line with the Umno whip's decision.
"I have no idea if a vote of no confidence will be taken, that is theoretical for now.
"As a responsible party member, I will make a decision according to the party's parliamentary whip," Muhyiddin told reporters at a press conference in his private residence in Bukit Damansara today.

After he was sacked from the cabinet yesterday, opposition lawmakers called for Muhyiddin to support a vote of no confidence in Parliament to oust Najib.
However, Muhyiddin did not indicate that he bore any ill-will towards the prime minister.
Throughout the press conference, he painted himself as a loyal party member.
He even said he would continue helping Najib in his capacity as deputy Umno president, and went on to emphasise the importance of unity within the party.
Muhyiddin said he would not take part in anything that might split the party.
"What I prioritise is party unity and I will not be involved in efforts that can cause clashes," he added.
