PAS today accused its former vice-president Husam Musa of sabotage, after the Salor assemblyperson claimed that PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang planned to form a new Selangor government with Umno.
"He is acting just like Parti Amanah Negara in sabotaging PAS, and Amanah acts just like DAP in sabotaging PAS.
"Husam is just like DAP, which supports Amanah. Umno attacks PAS, DAP attacks PAS and now Husam does (it)," PAS Information department director Ahmad Amzad Hashim said in a statement.
Ahmad Amzad said the PAS assemblyperson went rogue after losing in the PAS election.
He added that Husam has been bitter since he was not appointed Kelantan menteri besar following the death of long-time MB Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.
Husam was a senior exco member during the PAS spiritual leader's tenure as MB.
Ahmad Amzad also said that Husam's statements only benefit Umno.
Husam in a ceramah said Hadi 'offered two or three PKR assemblypersons to join PAS to form a state government in Selangor with Umno'.
“This he had disclosed in the open when asked. If the president (Hadi) wants to get angry with me for disclosing it, then go on.
"The president admitted if they have the numbers they will form a government with Umno in Selangor. The PKR assemblypersons also admitted it to their party.
“If Hadi wants to deny it, then go ahead, but if he wants to ask me why did you reveal it, I would ask him why he made such a move,” he said.
The video of the ceramah was uploaded online last night.
Husam did not say so, but it is believed he was referring to the period when former Selangor MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim was sacked from PKR last year.
Khalid eventually resigned, while PKR deputy president Azmin Ali was appointed MB by the Selangor sultan.
Husam this week also condemned the rise in allowance for Kelantan elected representatives, MB and exco members.
He said the pay hike was uncalled-for, given that the state owes teachers under Yayasan Islam Kelantan money and victims of last year's devastating floods are still suffering.
