Three robbers net RM250,000 from Mydin store in Seremban

Three robbers escaped with cash of RM250,000 after breaking into the cashier room of Mydin Hypermarket at Terminal 2, Era Square, in Seremban early today.

Seremban police chief ACP Muhamad Zaki Harun said the police received a report about the robbery at 7am.

He said according to the report, the manager, upon arriving at the hypermarket, saw that the store's grill door had been cut using a grinder and a hole was drilled in one of the walls of the cashier room.

"Upon inspection, cash of RM250,000 were found missing. The footage from the closed circuit television cameras showed that there were three men and they were using gloves and had cloth to cover their faces.

"We will look closely into the footage. The robbery was believed to have occurred around 1.30am," he said in a statement in Seremban today.

Further investigation is ongoing and efforts are being done to identify and track down the suspects, he added.
