‘Upset state rep fires gun in air in dispute with Orang Asli’

Police in Perak allegedly refused to accept a police report by Orang Asli residents after an assemblyperson allegedly fired a pistol into the air during a dispute with the community.

Lodging a report against the police officers at Bukit Aman today, the complainants said the assemblyperson fired the pistol at their village at Temenggor, Perak.

The assemblyperson was allegedly upset that representatives from opposition parties had visited the community, the complainants said.
