Kini Roundup: PAC report adds fuel to 1MDB fire, Guan Eng vs Rahman Dahlan

Here’s a recap of major headlines yesterday you may have missed.

1MDB debate continues

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report on 1MDB is still hogging the headlines, with committee chief Hasan Arifin stating that the prime minister was not singled out in the report because there was no evidence he had committed wrongdoing.

However, PAC member Tony Pua, who said he was "80 percent satisfied" with the report, stressed that the committee did not clear Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak of wrongdoing either.

He also urged the authorities to track down US$5.5 billion of 1MDB's money that is unaccounted for, claiming that the state-owned fund had refused to provide details on the matter.

1MDB, in a bizarre statement, shot back, telling Pua that he couldn't be " 80 percent pregnant ".

They duo were so eager for the showdown that they began sparring on Twitter .

The debate came about after Abdul Rahman alleged KLIDC, which bought the Taman Manggis land for RM11.6 million from the Penang government, would to be sold for RM18.6 million, contrary to what Lim had insisted.

Rafizi also challenged inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar to contest against him in Pandan, accusing the top cop of having a penchant for making political statements.

This was after Khalid said claims that police asked Rafizi to keep his hands behind his back when brought to court was a " fairy tale ".

In a related development, police want to question MPs who demonstrated at Bukit Aman to protest Rafizi 's arrest.
