Wall Street Journal journalist Rachel Pannett was ejected from an briefing session on 1MDB in Sydney because she "gate crashed" the event, said programme moderator Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz.

"Shame on her. At least have the courtesy to check with organisers first," the Jasa strategic communications director said on Twitter.

"Learn to be more civilised. You claim to have first class mentality, so you can't possibly be gate crashing," he quipped.
