Najib: Good gov't policies let down by implementation process
Good government policies are let down by the implementation process, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak said today.
"I see that the government does not have the wrong policy.
"The policies are great, but there are always problems (with implementation), where what the government wants is not achieved," Najib added in his keynote address at a seminar to strengthen the institution of village chiefs in Kuala Lumpur today.
As such, he said, village chiefs needed to play a bigger role in informing the government about what the people want.

The prime minister also asked the village chiefs to keep their ears on the ground and inform the government of the people’s wishes.
"When you know the people's demands, their complaints, please let the government know.
"Because when (you) know but do nothing or just listen, that is why the government doesn't get the picture," he added.
Najib lauded the two-day seminar for the village chiefs, saying it was a good opportunity for the government to explain on current issues.
