Electoral reform group Bersih is of the opinion that the case of Johor Menteri Besar Khaled Nordin and DAP lawmaker Teresa Kok using the address of their respective service centres to register as voters is the “same issue”.
The movement’s chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah however said the fault lies with the National Registration Department (NRD) for registering the MyKads in question.
“The Election Commission (EC) should also have a clear standard operating procedure not to accept voters with office addresses,” she told Malaysiakini.
