The second website on wanted criminal Michael Soosai has been suspended by its Nepal-based host following an official request from the Malaysian police.

In an e-mail communique, View Nepal Pvt Ltd chief MB Roka said he removed the site today after receiving an official letter from Bukit Aman computer crimes division's DSP Victor Sanjos.

Roka was also tightlipped on the identity of the person who hired him to upload the site on July 1

"I don't have any photos, his personal bio-data or anything else. This is not my case," he said when asked if a man, believed to be Soosai , was at his office in Kathmandu.

"We also care that such sites are harmful to any group or government," he added.

Last week, Roka told malaysiakini that he was not responsible for the site's content but merely uploaded it onto the internet.

The site, the second of its kind , carried details of further allegations of corrupt deals between the fugitive - wanted for numerous crimes of fraud, intimidation and harassment - and Malaysian police personnel including high-ranking officers.

Contacted later, Sanjos said he had sent e-mails on Friday night to both Roka and Rajeev Kumar, the web-designer and host of the first Soosai website , requesting for the suspension of both sites.

Sanjos is heading the investigations into the hosting of these sites and is part of a larger police task-force entrusted to investigate the allegations contained in the sites.

The officer was upset that the first site's host was being uncooperative.

"We have asked him to bring it down but yet the site is still not removed," he said of the site which was the catalyst behind recent transfers of police officers allegedly linked to Soosai.

According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Musa Hassan last week, over 20 police personnel - including a senior officer - is said to have been or will be placed on desk job duties at various divisions nationwide while the investigations take place.

This, Musa had said, was to ensure that the allegations found on the site are investigated unbiasedly.

The team is headed by Deputy Director of the Federal Narcotics Department, Ismail Omar.
