Malaysia has placed 144th out of 180 countries in the latest Reporters Without Borders (RSF) press freedom rankings, up two spots from the year before.
However, Malaysia’s relative press freedom has declined given its overall score of 46.89, up 0.32 points from the year before.
A higher score indicates less press freedom. The lowest-ranked country is North Korea with a score of 84.98, while the highest-ranked country is Norway with a score of 7.6.
